Storm damage
SEVERE winds kept Hamilton SES crews busy on Sunday evening when the first of several calls for assistance came in just after midnight.
A LOCAL family in Victoria Valley was shocked to find that the roof of their next-door games room bungalow had been blown off early Monday morning due to strong winds. Wind damage was also reported in Hamilton, including a trampoline blown onto a footpath on Fyfe Street (pictured in inset). Victoria Valley residents Ben and Eden Ackermann are pictured with Life Centre helper Kathy Slabbert, residents Beth Burger and Bruce Burger, and Life Centre Pastor and helper Dorian Pretorius, who spent Monday clearing up the debris and preventing further damage to inside contents.
