AWI Graduate program applications open

Applications open on July 1 for a start in March 2022.

AWI chief executive, Stuart McCullough said it was an important program that seeks to develop future wool industry leaders.
“We are focussed on attracting and retaining the best people to the wool industry,” he said.
“The AWI Graduate Training Program has been extremely successful since its inception in 2018, creating opportunities for those from a wool growing background, wanting to enter the workforce.’’
The program provides successful applicants with a thorough understanding of the wool supply chain from the woollen fibre through to fashion.
The eighteen-month program is due to start in March and is primarily based at AWI in Sydney.
The course offers exposure to all facets of the AWI business including on-farm research, processing innovation, wool grower services, global marketing and digital and business services.
If international travel restrictions allow, the 2022 graduates may also gain exposure to the global wool supply chain through international rotations.
The program provides graduates with professional training and development opportunities to enhance their career prospects within the wool industry.
The program is open to those who have graduated from university in 2020 and 2021 and is aimed at people with a broad cross section of disciplines who have a background in, or connection with, the Australian Wool Industry.
The program did not run in 2020.
