THIS year’s Rotary Club of Portland Beats Ride for Hope is fast approaching, and organisers are calling on the community to register for the bike ride to Cape Bridgewater, and open their wallets to support locals suffering from cancer.

The event, now in its 11th year, was started by Portland local Paul Beattie alongside the Rotary Club Portland, who have taken over the event and fundraising in Mr Beattie’s memory.
