SHOPPERS looking for Lions Christmas cakes and puddings have only a few remaining opportunities to snap up the delicious goodies before the much-awaited date arrives on the 25th.
Hamilton Lions Club members have been at the Hub on selected days of the week in the lead-up and are keen to see the gastronomic delights go to locals to add some Christmas cheer to their seasonal celebrations.
“We’re selling Lions Christmas cakes and Christmas puddings,” cake chairperson, John Colcott said.
“We’re (also) selling Lions Christmas mints. We’ve got a reasonable supply.
“We did have some small bite sized cakes, but they're all gone.”
Mr Colcott said although sales had been a little slow compared with last year in late November, they were steady now and he expected to sell out before Christmas; he encouraged people to get in quickly.
The iconic products will be available to buy 10am to 12midday today and 10am to 4pm Wednesday and Thursday next week – the 1.5 kilogram cakes are $17 and the 900 gram puddings are $13.
