Work halted at Dunkeld fuel station

AFTER being sold in April 2019, rumours have been circulating in the community over the delayed opening of the Dunkeld service station.

With work temporally halted on July 22, local residents have become increasingly concerned about the lack of information surrounding the project’s progress.

Business owner, Chris Zajakovski told The Spectator last year he was frustrated with the Southern Grampians Shire about the delay in opening.

“It is all the council’s fault, during the primary approval, we had an issue with the landscaping requirements as they didn’t want any illuminated signage,” he said.

“We have literally told them now; we will do anything and say yes to everything (to open). “There is no reason why we wouldn’t want to finish this renovation.”
