THE Hamilton Makers Market, which ran for a month in the lead up to Christmas, successfully finished last week.
From November 23 to December 22, many local creators, makers, and growers came together to provide handmade goods for the community.
For the sixth consecutive year, people flocked to the market to support locals who put so much time and effort into creating the wonderful goods.
Locals were thrilled to see the market go ahead after many events were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Makers Market organiser, Meg Jackson said they were apprehensive for the market to go ahead considering the disrupted year it had been.
“It was a few of the makers who finally talked us into going ahead, saying they needed something to look forward to and to focus on,” Ms Jackson told The Spectator.
