MONIVAE College has welcomed new faces to the staffroom this year, with seven people newly-appointed.

The new staff members will fill the roles of teacher, learning support officer and development office team member and include people from a range of places, as well as former members of the Monivae community who are taking on new roles.

Lia Mailes, Melody Keath and Ruby Austin were appointed to teaching positions, Colleen Page and Nyah Bester as learning support officers and Kylie Schurmann and Naomi Annett will join the development office team.

Ms Mailes has had a long affiliation with the school and her new role will see her teaching both humanities and English.

In 2012, she began her employment at the school as the registrar and thoroughly enjoyed the “vibrant” and “caring” school community.
