A CONCERNED Glenthompson farmer contacted The Spectator about local road damage recently and claimed the shire wasn’t acting quickly enough to fix the problem.
Ross Stewart said he contacted the Southern Grampians Shire in November about the condition of Back Bushy Creek Road, yet little had been done.
“We thought the road was quite dangerous,” he said.
“I’m pretty sure they sent a vehicle out that afternoon.
“Then the next day a vehicle come and put up a sign at each end of the road saying ‘Rough Surface – Drive Safely’.
“That’s all that’s happened since.”
Southern Grampians Shire manager works, St John Lees said the shire had not forgotten about the damage and would address it soon.\
