THE Port Fairy Folk Festival will return next month with a four-day mini-series despite its bigger iconic festival being pushed to 2022.
With a range of local performers ranging from Warrnambool, Terang and Colac, the intimate festival will run over the March long weekend.
Port Fairy Folk Festival program director, Justin Rudge said it was “uplifting” to be presenting a small selection of artists to celebrate folk music on the iconic March long weekend in Port Fairy.
“Whilst there won’t be thousands of people down the coast for the annual Folk Festival, this March long weekend we are still wanting music lovers to enjoy their favourite artists, but in a more intimate environment at the Reardon Theatre,” he said.
“I’m proud to present a diverse range of artists, including previous favourites of the festival, a selection of Music Victoria award nominated artists, as well as introduce Port Fairy to some wonderful up and coming talent.
“We can’t wait to welcome folkies back to our coastal location.”
