Gorae West Community Fundraising Day on Saturday was a great success, with more than $45,000 raised for a local family impacted by a tragic collision on Christmas eve as well as for the Gorae West community. Co-organiser Cristin Smith said the organising committee wanted to send their “utmost gratitude to everyone involved: those who donated their time and services, held stalls and attended on the day. The community support has been phenomenal. It has been a massive team effort and we are so grateful for all of the support.” The final tally of funds raised is yet to be confirmed.
