AFTER 22 years, November will mark the end for USG Boral’s Hamilton Cornice manufacturing facility with eight jobs to be lost.
The company confirmed this week the facility, located at Peck Street, Hamilton, would close “around the end of November”.
“USG Boral has manufactured cornice at the Hamilton site for 22 years, producing our popular range of decorative cornice profiles for builders and trade,” USG Boral, senior vice-president Asia Pacific, Tony Charnock told The Spectator.
“The closure of the operation is a sad day for all involved.”
Mr Charnock said the company was working with all eight employees at the Hamilton facility, to “consider all options and determine to best outcome for them and the business”.
