PEOPLE aged between 18 and 39 are now able to receive the AstraZeneca vaccine at one of nine designated clinics across the state.
Premier, Daniel Andrews made the announcement on Sunday and said there was demand for younger people to be allowed to receive a vaccination.
Current medical advice is for younger people to receive the Pfizer vaccine, but with limited supplies, many have taken up the option of speaking to their GP about getting the AstraZeneca vaccine instead.
Mr Andrews said the nine sites would have GPs onsite, who would talk to younger people about the risk of developing a blood clot disease from the vaccine.
