PORT Fairy residents and visitors will have to wait another month to find out whether the Moyne Shire will go ahead with plans to ban dogs and scooters from Port Fairy’s main streets during summer.
Moyne councillors received a petition with 1455 signatures and a joint letter signed by 16 people opposing the proposed ban at Tuesday’s council meeting and voted to consider the matter at November’s council meeting.
Under Moyne’s governance rules, councillors were unable to consider the petition at the same council meeting it was presented.
