Makers Market not going ahead next month

THIS year’s Makers Market Hamilton Pop Up Shop has been cancelled over uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 and after organisers were unable to secure an appropriately sized location in the town’s centre.

The annual market was scheduled to be held from November 19 to December 22 and feature over 80 of the best local artists, makers, and growers displaying their handmade goods.

The market has run for the past six years, but organiser, Meg Jackson said the risk of organising an event of this size and nature during Victoria’s serious current COVID-19 outbreak was untenable.
