Roadworks begin on the Hamilton Highway

AS part of the 2021-22 State Government’s “regional road maintenance blitz”, many roads across south-west Victoria will be rebuilt and upgraded, starting with a $1.8 million rebuild on the Hamilton Highway.

The Penshurst part of the highway will be the first major road rehabilitation of the maintenance season and will look to make the commute easier and safer for locals.

There are approximately 840 drivers that use this section of highway between Blackwood-Dunkeld Road and Woolsthorpe every day and are forced to try and dodge road damage and potholes.
