AS vaccination rates across the state continue to soar, many Victorians breathed a sigh of relief on Sunday after Victorian premier, Daniel Andrews announced the significant easing of restrictions in Regional Victoria and Metropolitan Melbourne from 11.59pm on Thursday, October 21.

Under the new restrictions, students will return to on-site learning from Friday, while up to 10 home visits will be permitted per day.

The 10 people will include dependants under the age of 12, and while it isn’t mandatory for home visitors to be vaccinated, it was “highly recommended” for those 12 and over.

Victoria is set to hit the 70 per cent double dose vaccination target later this week, as well as 90 per cent first dose.
