RESIDENTS about eight kilometres north of Glenthompson are concerned about the application for a mining exploration licence for the impact it may have on flocking brolgas which often use the area for feeding and breeding.
Stavely Minerals made application (EL7347) in July to the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions (DJPR) - Earth Resources to explore over 4600 hectares for high-grade structurally controlled copper-gold-silver mineralisation and large-scale porphyry copper-gold deposits.
