WORLD Radiography Day occurs annually on November 8 and is the one day a year dedicated to celebrating the work of radiographers around the world.

Held on the anniversary of Wilhelm Roentgen discovering x-radiation in 1895, World Radiography Day promotes the radiography profession and raises public awareness of its vital contribution to modern health care.

Bendigo Radiology radiographer, Shannon Raymond said on World Radiography Day this year, the local team were looking to the future and are promoting the local Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Appeal at the Hamilton Base Hospital.
