NARRAWONG ladies gathered for a social drink with a cause, raising money for Days for Girls over the weekend.
The event, which was organised by Trisha Jelbart, saw Narrawong residents of all ages get together for a their first catch-up since lockdown started earlier this year.
Ms Jelbart said she was surprised with number of women who joined in on the event.
“I just wanted to do something to get the ladies in Narrawong to connect with others they might not have met yet,” she said.
“Some have lived here forever while others, like myself, have only been here for a few years so it’s important for all of us to get together and get to know each other.
“We also managed to raise $500 for Day for Girls in the process which we’re very proud of.”
Ms Jelbart said she hoped the event could be a yearly get together, with others also sprinkled throughout the year.
