Hamilton blood donors needed in January

AUSTRALIAN Red Cross Lifeblood is coming to Hamilton again in January for people to make a donation to save lives, and a campaign has been launched to encourage those who book appointments to take the ‘Bloody Oath’ and make sure they turn up. WITH the Australian Red Cross needing more people rolling up their sleeves to give blood in 2022, a discouraging trend has emerged with appointments for donations being increasingly subject to ‘no-shows’.

Australia is in the grip of a “bailer boom” according to new research released on the weekend by Australian Red Cross Lifeblood – which is issuing a call to arms to boost blood donor ranks.
