SOUTH-WEST meat processing company Midfield Meat has been fined $400,000 over the death of former long-term employee, Patrick Smith, four years ago.

The 49-year-old tragically died after a stag attacked him while he was working alone in a cattle yard on the private Dunkeld farm ‘Wandobah’.
