REGIONAL Roads Victoria (RRV) will start rebuilding 1.8 kilometres of the Glenelg Highway, located between the Coleraine Golf Club and Racecourse Road, from Monday, January 10, 2022, until mid-March.
The works are scheduled to be completed from 7am-5.30pm each weekday, with weather permitting.
During this time, road users are encouraged to drive to the changed road conditions and reduce speeds to ensure all members of the community can travel safely.
RRV are also planning to complete other road works in the Southern Grampians Shire, including improving 204 metres of Glenelg Highway in Hamilton, 600m of Dartmoor-Hamilton Road in Grassdale and 1.45km of Hamilton-Port Fairy Road in Macarthur.
Works are also scheduled for 2.2km of the Hamilton Highway in Penshurst between Blackwood-Dunkeld Road and Woolsthorpe Road, with upgrades being delivered under the TCE Rehabilitation Program 2021-22 to improve safety and road reliability.
The works, starting in early 2022, will be completed from 7am-5.30pm weekdays and are predicted to take around four months to complete.
During this time the speed limit will be reduced to 40 kilometres per hour.
Delays of up to five minutes are expected whilst works are underway and traffic management will be on site to assist you to navigate safely through the area.
