OTR Hamilton opens

OTR Hamilton on Coleraine Road officially opened for business yesterday, bringing the first Hungry Jack’s and its flame grilled burgers to the region.

OTR Hamilton will operate 24/7, 365 days a year with the popular eatery’s opening hours from 6am until 11pm daily, for dine-in, delivery and takeaway.

“If you need flowers for a loved one, a coffee in the morning, some supermarket necessities, a quick snack after work or a bigger bite to eat any time of the day or night, OTR has you covered,” OTR general manager, Darryl Cotter said.

“We have been looking forward to opening in Hamilton and bringing you the very best in convenience retailing with our award-winning fuel and food offers.”

The new store has created more than 55 new retail jobs for residents from the surrounding region, through its suite of offers in convenience by offering freshly ground barista-made C Coffee, HappyWash (Automatic touchless car wash), Moe’s Dog and Shake, EAT Bakery, OhJ and Hungry Jack’s.

OTR owns and operates 170 stores across South Australia and regional Victoria.

Hamilton is the seventh regional Victorian location for OTR, with stores also located in Mildura, Portland, Stawell and Horsham.

A premium range of Caltex fuels will ensure customers can fill up and go at any time of day or night.

“The new OTR Hamilton store affirms our commitment to investing in regional towns and championing job growth across Australia,” Mr Cotter said.

“We know how important jobs growth is in regional areas and we’re doing our best to support communities.

“As with all our OTR stores, we aim to become an integral part of the Hamilton community and the Grampians by supporting community groups, events, and sporting clubs.

As an Australian family business operating for more than 30 years, OTR employs more than 4000 people across Australia.

OTR is a retail leader in community engagement and corporate social responsibility, including food recycling through Foodbank, which has created more than 120,000 meals for families in need.

Customers are also encouraged to help OTR give back to charity groups through its innovative OTRGive, which works through the OTR App - every time a customer shops or refuels at OTR with the OTR App, OTR donates to the customer’s selected charity – at no cost to the customer.

The brand new premises has been under construction for several months and experienced some pressure to open on time due to COVID-19 issues impacting the workforce, delivery and supplies, but all parties pulled together to ensure the opening occurred on time.

The OTR Hamilton store is located at 86-90, Coleraine Road.

“OTR was fully staffed for the opening on Friday, but there are still vacancies and we’re currently recruiting 15 casual and permanent part-time roles across the OTR Hamilton and Hungry Jack’s,” an OTR spokesperson said.
