A REGIONAL passenger rail service will be critical to the area’s post pandemic recovery and to accommodate future population growth, according to a jointly released discussion paper.

The Rail Futures Institute Inc. (RFI) and the Town and Country Planning Association Inc. (TCPA) released the paper entitled Rail as a Catalyst for Regional Growth, which explores the opportunity for Victoria’s regional cities to accommodate a much larger proportion of the state’s future population growth.
