THE old Narrawong store’s fate has attracted a great deal of attention since it closed five years ago, and it took its first steps to a new future on Friday.

Warrnambool-based electrician Darren Hunter, a former Narrawong resident, was the successful bidder at an auction on site, going to $380,000 to secure the property.
