MONIVAE College is inviting the community, prospective students and their families to its Discovery Day this weekend to view the exceptional facilities at its large campus on Ballarat Road, Hamilton.
From 10am-1pm, this Sunday, February 27, Discovery Day will allow visitors to take a tour of the school and see first-hand the school’s classrooms in action, including a pop-up Cadet camp, as well as speak with staff and current students for an insider’s perspective.
Students planning to enter Year 7 in 2023 are also invited to attend Spend the Day at Monivae, where they spend the entire school day immersed in school life, on Tuesday, March 8.
Visitors to Monivae on Discovery Day can also hear about Monivae College’s Sports Academy opportunities for Year 7, 2023, and ask questions about the new, innovative curriculum.
There is also the opportunity to see the concept plans for the recently announced multimillion-dollar Performing Arts Centre redevelopment.
Monivae College principal, Mr Johnathan Rowe said, “after a successful inaugural Discovery Day in 2021, we have planned an even better event to showcase what we do so well here, and to be able to see smiles will add a lovely element”.
“We often hear that community members are unaware what’s behind the huge building facing Ballarat Road,” he said.
“For this one day, we are inviting anyone interested to visit us to experience the great facilities, broad curriculum and spirit that is Monivae.”
Vaccination status will be checked, however, mandatory mask wearing is no longer in place.
Those interested in attending either Discovery Day on Sunday, February 27, or Spend the Day on Tuesday, March 8, need to register at monivae.com.
