TWO locals were arrested yesterday morning in relation to a burnt car that was found in Cavendish.
Cavendish Police leading senior constable, Paul McLean said the Volkswagen hatch was found at 5.15am at Mokanger Road.
Hamilton Police acting sergeant, Roger McClure said the vehicle was involved in an evade in Horsham early yesterday morning, and an evade with Hamilton police later.
A male in his 30s and a female in her 20s, both from Hamilton, were arrested in relation to the vehicle.
“A male and female were arrested near that burn out vehicle and are currently in custody assisting police,” acting Sgt McClure said.
Act Sgt McClure said police were calling on assistance from the public to locate a single cab white rodeo utility, with a canopy and bulbar, that was stolen from a property on Henty Highway near the burnt vehicle.
The theft is being investigated by the Hamilton Police Criminal Investigation Unit.
