IN the lead up to October 2020, Noah Barnett of Hamilton, then aged 13, had been feeling unwell for several weeks and was vomiting with severe stomach pain.

The initial diagnosis was possible appendicitis, then constipation, before he eventually collapsed at home and was rushed to Hamilton Base Hospital’s Emergency Department.
