ONCE again, the Red Cross are in Hamilton hoping that many locals roll up their sleeves to give blood, but for those used to seeing the mobile unit next to Melville Oval, you won’t see it at its usual location.
Donors will have to make their way to the Showgrounds at Shakespeare Street for this two-week visit of the operation and the need for willing people able to give blood has not diminished.
At time of writing, there are still well over a dozen donation slots available for Thursday, May 12 and those who have made appointments are encouraged to turn up, as the Blood Bank has been experiencing an unfortunate increase in no-shows.
The unit is in Hamilton now and until Friday May 13, with appointments available at lifeblood.com.au between 8am - 7.30pm.
