WANNON Labor candidate, Gilbert Wilson has made a $2.2 million commitment to the Maroona-Portland Rail Line, in a pledge that matches the Federal Government's investment to fund the rails planning phase.

In a media release from the office of Victorian Labor Senator, Raff Ciccone, Mr Wilson said the Opposition would fund a study and plan on the benefits of an upgrade to the south-west Victorian line.
