Where to vote today

AFTER six weeks of political campaigning, candidate forums, debates, and a few gotcha moments - the day has finally come - the 2022 Federal Election is here.

While some people may have already voted via post or through pre-polling, most will head to their local polling place today to cast their vote and grab a democracy sausage on their way out.

Below is a list of local polling places and all are open from 8am-6pm today.

  • Hamilton Senior Citizens Rooms, 100 Lonsdale Street, Hamilton.
  • Patterson Park Hall, 194 King Street, Hamilton.
  • Tarrington Lutheran Church Hall, 7901 Hamilton Highway, Tarrington.
  • Branxholme Public Hall, 98 McNichol Street, Branxholme.
  • Cavendish Memorial Hall, 32-34 Barker Street, Cavendish.
  • Penshurst Memorial Hall, 21 Martin Street, Penshurst.
  • Dunkeld Community Centre, 14 Sterling Street, Dunkeld.
  • Macarthur Primary School, 23 Russell Street, Macarthur.
  • Coleraine Primary School, 124 Church Street, Coleraine.
  • Merino Consolidated Primary School, 49 Paschendale Road, Merino.
  • Glenthompson Memorial Hall, 13 McLennan Street, Glenthompson.

For voters who have tested positive for COVID-19 after 6pm on Tuesday, May 17 – secure telephone voting will be made available, however telephone voting is an emergency service for those who cannot attend a polling booth or lodge a postal vote.

Voters in this position will have to provide evidence of a positive RAT or PCR test, with registrations open until 4pm today.
