FOLLOWING several days of works on Portland Road, the culvert has been installed and the road re-opened after sealing and a final clean-up.

The Southern Grampians Shire Council reported that traffic will continue to be managed over the next few weeks as ramps and guard rails are installed, after which the project will be complete.

The Underpass will serve to make Portland Road safer for both commuters and livestock, with sheep being able to be moved via the under-road route to overflow paddocks.
