WITH a spectacular view of the Grampians behind her, Australian Watercolour Muster creative director, Wyn Vogel, said she relished the chance given by the Royal Mail Hotel to get away from the exhibition and visit Mount Sturgeon homestead. “We fell in love with Dunkeld and the scenery, particularly of the mountains rising there behind us. We were intrigued by the change of lighting. As an artist, this was an amazing experience to be able to stand at the homestead and paint plein air.” She said the reception the muster received from the local community and businesses was “amazing”.
