SA commissioner to relieve cross-border community concerns

AFTER years of campaigning on both sides of the state border, South Australia is set to appoint a dedicated voice later this year for communities geographically close, but separated by an ‘artificial’ line.

Legislation moving through parliament could see the state’s own Cross-Border Commissioner, a counterpart to Victoria’s Luke Wilson, starting in the role by the end of 2022.
