Drivers lucky to escape after horror Bree Road car crash

DRIVERS were lucky to walk away with no injuries after a car crash at the intersection of Bree Road and King Street on Wednesday afternoon left one vehicle seriously damaged.

Hamilton Police sergeant, Mark Barby, said the accident occurred just after 4pm and was caused by one driver failing to stop before entering the intersection.

“One vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign intersection,” he said.

“There were no injuries.”

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said ambulance services attended the scene where they treated a man believed to be aged in his 60s.

“(He was treated) for upper body injuries and he was taken to Western District Health Service in a stable condition,” they said.

“Two other people were assessed on scene but not taken to hospital.”

Police, ambulance, Country Fire Authority, and State Emergency Services (SES) vehicles all promptly attended the scene.
