THE scenic Warrnambool to Port Fairy Rail Trail has received $590,000 in funding to improve its surface and make the popular track smoother for all users.

Provided by the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program, the funding was allocated to the Warrnambool to Port Fairy Rail Trail Committee who worked alongside Councillors during the Moyne Shire Council meeting last Tuesday to endorse a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
