A RECENT report on voluntary assisted dying (VAD) numbers in Victoria for the 12-months to June 2022 has revealed a lack of trained practitioners in Western Victoria to assist people who have been approved under the program.

Western Victoria MP and Victorian leader of Derryn Hinch’s Justice Party, Stuart Grimley, has raised concerns that with just 10 VAD accredited doctors and specialists in the entire region west of Ballarat, it poses significant issues.
