WITH just a week to go until the $100,000 MRI Raffle draw, the anticipation is building about who the lucky winners will be.
Over 2200 tickets have been sold since the Western District Health Service (WDHS) MRI Raffle kicked off in early June, with the draw due to take place at the Medicine Ball on October 15.
WDHS chief executive, Rohan Fitzgerald, said there was still plenty of time to get tickets in the raffle and support a great cause.
“As we’ve come to expect from our generous community, the response so far has been remarkable, with over $110,000 in tickets sold,” he said.
“Locals are really making the most of the opportunity to win some impressive prizes, while also supporting a cause that’s close to their hearts.
“A number of people are buying multiple tickets, to give themselves a greater chance of winning big, with one keen local purchasing over 60 tickets since the raffle launch.
“We are so grateful for everyone’s support. A big thank you to our sponsors, volunteers and everyone who has bought a ticket so far.”
Up for grabs in the MRI Raffle is a Toyota Hilux Rogue Ute, valued at $75,000, a Stacer boat and trailer with Mercury outboard valued at $15,000, and a garden maintenance package worth $9000.
The MRI Ute will be out and about over the next week at local supermarkets, other CBD locations and at local events.
Anyone interested in purchasing a ticket can scan the barcode on the Ute, visit the WDHS website, drop into the hospital, or call the Community Liaison number.
Tickets are $50 each, with all proceeds going to the WDHS MRI for U&I Appeal.
