THE Mobile Blood Bank is back in Hamilton for two weeks, with times for donating blood still available.
A Lifeblood spokesperson said they were appreciative of the local support and hoped the remaining slots would be filled.
“Hamilton residents are always so generous and when the call out is made, they always respond and fill the appointments,” they said.
At the time of writing, there were still 18 donation appointments available for booking, with 12 of those being on Thursday, December 1.
Eligibility for donating includes:
Being 18-75 years old
No tattoo in the last four months
Not pregnant or had a recent birth
No heart condition
Good iron levels
Not engaged in ‘at risk’ sexual activity in the past three months
Not injected recreational drugs in the past five years
No overseas travel in the last four months

The mobile unit location is at Melville Oval, near the corner of Lonsdale Street and Brown Street.
