WITH recent changes to the Warrnambool to Melbourne train timetable, the V/Line Trotters bus services from Casterton to Warrnambool via Hamilton and the return services will see some minor adjustments to their timetable as well.
Various upgrades to the Warrnambool line have been taking place and have enabled a fifth weekday Warrnambool train service to Melbourne to be added from Monday, December 4 - the ripple effects of this to other trains have in turn affected some connecting coach timetables.
The major change for locals will be the Monday to Friday service to Warrnambool departing Hamilton slightly later at 10.23am and the Friday-only afternoon service via Terang now departing slightly earlier at 4.27pm; the Sunday service to Warrnambool via Terang remains unchanged at 4.23pm.
The weekday morning service will arrive at Warrnambool at 11.53am to meet the Melbourne train which is scheduled to depart at 12.23pm; this is a guaranteed connection.
The Monday to Thursday return from Warrnambool to Casterton now departs slightly earlier at 4.50pm after connecting with a train from Melbourne and will arrive in Hamilton at 6.25pm.
Note: the original V/Line publication of the Friday-only return bus service had the bus departing Warrnambool for Casterton via Hamilton at 11.24am, 29 minutes before it arrived.
This error has been rectified – the correct departure time is 12.03pm and the bus arrives in Hamilton at 1.38pm.
