FORTNIGHTLY kerbside collection for Food Organics and Garden Organics (FOGO) bins will recommence for residents in the Southern Grampians Shire as of this Monday.

During spring, the Southern Grampians Shire Council increases the collection of FOGO bins in an attempt to keep up with the quantity of spring growth and extra grass clippings seen in the warmer months.

However, with spring behind us, so too is the weekly FOGO kerbside collection, with the service now returning to its regular fortnightly schedule.

Recycling and general waste kerbside services will not be impacted by this change and will be collected as per their usual pick-up cycle.

FOGO bins have a dark green base with a lime green lid, while older bins will have a maroon base with a lime green lid.
