ON 11 NOVEMBER Casterton Vice Regal Band joined the celebration of the centenary of the Bahgallah Memorial Hall, with Mick McNamara sounding the Last Post and the band entertaining the crowd with music that reflected the historic nature of the occasion.

With the run-up to Christmas upon us we are now practising carols, ready for our busy schedule of seasonal events.

Look out for us on 10 December as we debut ‘Pop up Carols’, where we will play carols in unexpected places about town and the surrounding district.

Carols By Candlelight , which will be held outside the Band Centre at Island Park (or in the town hall if wet) on the evening of 18 December, is an established family favourite.

This will be a great opportunity to sing all your favourites while enjoying a picnic or Lion's Club barbecue on the grass, which would hopefully have dried out by then!

The band would like to wish everyone a Merry, Musical Christmas and hope our performances will add to our town's seasonal spirit.
