FOLLOWING a final recheck of all votes counted across the state for the Victorian Election held on November 26, the number of informal votes continued to increase in Lowan from the last election (taking third spot on the tally board), with 2612 or 5.7 per cent in 2022, compared with 2002 or 4.98 per cent in 2018.

All elected candidates have now been declared, as the writs, which include the names of the elected candidates for both houses of the Victorian Parliament, were returned last week by the Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) to the Governor of Victoria, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, marking the conclusion of the 2022 State Election.
