FOR some, the Christmas to New Year’s period was made more difficult by their inability to carry out necessary banking procedures as the Westpac Hamilton branch shut its doors for a week.

A notice informing locals of the changes to regular opening hours was posted on the branch door before Christmas and said the bank would be closed from Monday, December 26, until Tuesday, January 3, 2023.
