A great white shark estimated to be around three metres long has been caught on video just off the coast in Portland on Thursday, with a further confirmed sighting on Monday.

As a result, signage was installed notifying swimmers that nearby Nuns Beach was closed, the advice was reduced on Monday morning, but was reinstated by the end of the day following the reappearance of the shark.
