Big swells set to flush out whale carcasses and shark

AS LARGE swells currently hitting the coastline wash out the pair of whale carcasses beached below the Portland cliffs, authorities hope the great white shark that has been seen in the area will go with them.

Two sighting of the three-metre shark have been confirmed by the Victorian Fisheries Authority (VFA), the first on Thursday, January 26 and another on Monday this week, both from fishing boats off from the Lee Breakwater and around 200 metres out from the Portland Lighthouse.
