AMBULANCE demand in Hamilton declined during the second quarter of 2022/23, with the second lowest number of Code 1 incidents in the last 12 months recorded between October 1 and December 31, 2022.

According to Ambulance Victoria (AV) response time data, Code 1 incidents refer to callouts that require urgent paramedic and hospital care based on available information at the time of the call, with 138 reported during the last quarter, a significant decrease from the first quarter of 2022/23 (175 incidents), but higher than the 120 incidents recorded in the second quarter of 2021/22.
