Hamilton’s Men’s Shed secretary, James McCallum, said that the Men’s Shed is set up mainly as a meeting place for blokes to socialise and talk to each other.

“Different Men’s Sheds have different focuses, some do up bikes etc. At the Hamilton Men’s Shed we concentrate on woodwork here. We repair a lot of furniture for people, we do jobs that come to us, we don’t actually make stuff to sell,” he said.
