A favourite recipe from her mother’s recipe book. A tried and true delicious chutney. Thanks Marg for recipe and photo.
Ingredients:
3 kgs tomatoes, peeled
1 kg green apples
2 lge brown onions
250g raisins
250g sultanas
50g salt
1 kg sugar
5 cloves garlic
570ml brown vinegar
Method:
Tie in bag - 2 tblsp pepper corns, cloves, all spice
Place all ingredients in pan and simmer until it thickens - about 2-3 hours.
