Junior firefighters come close at State Champs

HAMILTON Fire Brigade junior volunteer firefighters competed at the 2023 State Urban Junior Championship at Mooroopna last weekend and were only seconds behind the place getters. ALTHOUGH they performed exceptionally well at the 2023 CFA/Volunteer Fire Brigades Victoria (VFBV) Urban Junior State Championships on the weekend, Hamilton Fire Brigade’s juniors weren’t quite able to bring home the bacon.

Hamilton’s junior team coordinator, Kelly Hitchcock, travelled with the team to Mooroopna and said it was only a matter of a few seconds between the placegetters and the rest of the field.
